♡ Rimmel Metal Rush Nail Polish ♡

Top to Bottom - Pearly Queen layered over a pale pink, Pearly Queen alone, Royal Blue.

I had these lovely nail polishes for my birthday so I thought I would do a quick post on them as they are just so darn pretty and they are part of Rimmel's new A/W collection (and I kind-of wanted to try out my new nail wheels , how swish!)
I have the shades Royal Blue, a teal blue shade with a purple iridescence and Pearly Queen, a lilac pearl with a greeny iridescence. As you can see in the image above there are three shades swatched. I swatched Pearly Queen on top of a pale pink because its very sheer worn alone, you can't tell by the swatch but alone you can see the white tip of your nail beneath the polish (no matter how many coats) and I really don't like the look of it but as a top coat its really pretty.
I actually really love these polishes especially Royal Blue. The formula is really smooth which makes it really easy to get perfectly painted nails each time. The brush is also really wide which is something I look for when choosing polishes as I find it makes painting my nails quicker and easier.
I love the idea of these polishes that you can get a "two shades in one" kind-of look. When you move your nails back and forth the shades will switch, for example Royal Blue switches from teal to purple, which is why I think these polishes are extra special. I really want to get my hands on Purple Reign which is a berry shade.
I am also really liking the rest Rimmel's new A/W collection, I think they've really 'pulled it out of the bag'.

These polishes are just £3.99 (bargain!) and can be found at Boots.

What do you think of these polishes? Do you have/will you be getting some?

♡ Easy Frankenstein Nails for Halloween ♡

I can only apologise for how sparse my posts have been lately. Sixth form suddenly became very stressful and I ended up being bombarded with work and had no time to post (Taking 5 a-levels was not a good idea).
I have been taking lots of picture for upcoming posts though, so I have everything sorted for the next few weeks. It's also half term so I have a bit more time to blog. Yay.

I've been having a little bit of interest on my Halloween nail tutorial from last year I thought I would do one this year too. I love painting my nails for holidays like this, I can't wait until Christmas is close so I can do some Christmas inspired nails. I had lots of compliments on this nail design at school, which I was surprised about because it was so easy to create. I took inspiration from this photo on google images.

How To...

  1. Apply your favorite nail polish base, I used Essie's Nail Foundation.
  2. Apply an opague layer of green nail polish. The one I used is discontinued sorry.
  3. Using the end of a bobby pin and some black nail polish draw a horizontal line and smaller vertical lines over it as the mouth.
  4. Then at the base of your nail draw wavy lines using black polish and the same end of the bobby pin to create his hair.
  5. Then using the other end of the bobby pin and some white polish (or pale pink as I used because I had no white) dab on small circles for the eyes.
  6. Then using a bobby pin and black polish dab a smaller black circle inside the previous one.
  7. Cover with your favorite top coat. I used Sally Hansen's Double Duty.
See, I told you it was easy. I hope you all liked this quick and easy tutorial and I would love to know if you would like me to do more nail tutorials, I really enjoy doing them.

What are you all doing for Halloween? I promise to be a better blogger over the upcoming weeks!

October Obsessions!

Well hello. Yes, I know this post is a little late but hey ho, I've be enjoying a lot lovely products/clothing this month and I really wanted to share them with you guys. :-)

Skin Brightening Toner - Botanics @ Boots - £4.07
I love this toner because I feel it takes the redness out of my skin really well, and I do feel  that my skin looks a lot more "brighter" which I need for the dull winter months. And most of the ingredients are natural so that's always a plus!

Patent White Doc. Martens - Ebay - £55
My boyfriend was kind enough to get these for me as I've been lusting over them forever!  Definitely my favourite of my favourites haha. Haven't taken them off since I got them, and they're really good quality and the seller he bought them from on Ebay got them delivered really quickly, and they were a really good price, and I totally recommend them. Ah I love them so much :-)
Conditioning Clay Mask - Botanics @ Boots - £4.29
My skins been looking really tired, and dull lately but I feel this mask brings 'life' back into it as cliché as it sounds. But I find it's easy to apply, and easy to remove which I don't seem to get with many clay masks. It leaves my skin looking refreshed and moisturised instantly!
Express Finish 40 Nail Polish - 865 Turquoise Green - Maybelline - Boots - £4.09
This is an amazing colour (It's on my middle finger in the picture) and it applies so easily! I've worn it the majority of this month!
Urban Decay Primer Potion - Sample size from the Naked palette
I love this! Definitely getting the larger version when this one runs out.  It makes my eye-shadow  go on so smoothly and it prevents creasing and makes the eye-shadow colour stand out. Don't know what I did without it! :-)
Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate - Rimmel London - Boots - £5.99
As you can see this is such a nice shade. It's a very deep, purple, which looks really flattering on me, and dark lips are definitely on trend!
Ultra Shines Lipgloss - Spiked Punch - Benefit - £14ish
Such a beautiful colour, even though it's very "summer" I've been making it work for autumn/winter by appling it over darker/deeper lipsticks and it looks beautiful. Really glossy and tastes amazing! Also looks really nice worn alone, and it has such great pigmentation it looks, and feels as it's not sticky at all, just like a really glossy lipstick.

Stay Matte Pressed Powder - Rimmel London - £3.99 - 003 Golden Peach
I really like the texture of this powder, and I love the way it looks on my skin, really matte but not cakey :-)  Although it doesn't last too long, which isn't a massive deal for me since my skin isn't very oily!

E.L.F Cream Eyeliner - eyeslipsface.com - £3.50 - Coffee
Soo glad I bought this! It applies really smoothly, and has great pigmentation, and does not budge! Brilliant for school/college/uni/work etc. as it looks the same at the end of the day, when you first applied it. and it's cheap! what more could you want?!

Nars Blush - Deep Throat - 29€ - Sephora in Paris
Bought this in the summer while I was at paris, and only now I'm starting to wear it! Really didn't like it much when I got it, but I really like the look of it on my skin now, I don't know why! It's a really pretty deep pink with gold shimmer and it stays on all day.

Sleek Blush - SuperDrug - £4.29 - Life's a Peach
Looks really flattering on my cheeks, so easy to wear :-)
Urban Decay Naked Palette - £35 - Debenhams
I love all of the colours in this, I there hasn't been a day where I haven't worn it since I've got it, totally worth the money! :-)
Mac Satin Lipstick - Rebel - £13.50
I love this colour! It's so unique, and this lipstick stays on forever! Also, the shade is perfect for Autumn/Winter , it's still somewhat bright but it's also a pretty deep pink/purple. Ah I love it, it's perfection!

Daisy "So Fresh" Perfume by Marc Jacobs - Boots - £42 - 75ml
Such a fresh scent and I love it so much. Can't get enough of it :-)
Strapy Wedge/Platforms - H&M - £19.99
I've also been wearing these at every chance I can. I love them! So easy to walk in due to the platform and how light-weight they are, and they look great with anything. I'm obsessed! :-)

Hope you enjoyed, and I hope I get to do a "favourites/Obsessions" post every month as I love showing people what I've been loving, and I love seeing what other people love. Have you done an october favourites? Link it below and I'll be sure to check it out  :-)

Also, I'm on the look-out for a really pretty purple toned blush, and a deep, red lipstick, any suggestions leave them below!

17 Wild Metallics Cream Eyeshadow in Wild Nude - Review

Hey guys! Just a quick review on a new product I've been trying out recently that's been requested :-)

I'm actually in the middle about this product. It can be purchased from Boots for £3.99, which I think is reasonable for what the product is. The colour is really beautiful though. I haven't tried any of the other shades out, but they come in silver, purple, blue, green, bronze, and obviously the nude shade I have. I really do love the colour of this particular one though. It's the right balance between a light/nude brown and a greyish colour, and looks very flattering with my blue eyes and pale complexion. You can blend the product well, for a sheer look, or pack more product on for a more "intense" look. It has a very subtle shimmer, which surprisingly I really like, and I find it brightens my eyes instantly.

With Flash

Without Flash
I don't know if you can tell by the photo's above, but they texture of the product is very "mousse-like", which makes the product easy to blend and gives off a very "smooth" finish.

Swatch of what the product looks like when "packed" on, can be easily blended to create a subtle look too.
I love wearing this cream eye-shadow with a brown pencil eye-liner smudged into my top and bottom lashes. It gives a very messy/grungy, "effortless" make-up look, which I find great for school or if I'm going somewhere and I need to get ready in a rush. It also reminds me of the Olsen twin's make-up, which I'm a big fan of! I also like blending it into my crease with a fluffy blending brush, I usually use one by No.7,  which creates a subtle contour to my eyes, and brightens them. Although, I do find that when applied all over the lid, the product does crease, a lot. Which I guess I don't mind too much, but if you're not a fan, then I definitely do not recommend this product. I've tried setting it with eye-shadow and priming my lids with my favourite primer (urban decay's primer potion) but it still creases very badly. I wouldn't recommend wearing this if you know you're planning on having it on for a long period of time!

All in all, I guess I do like this product and I'm glad I bought it as I find it's quick and easy to use, and I'm glad it's part of my collection :-)

I hope you found this helpful! And if you have any requests leave them below in a comment :-)
