♡ MAC / Rebel ♡

Rebel was actually my first lipstick and purchase from MAC. I thought it was such a unique and lovely colour, especially for the autumn/winter months being a deep purple with a pop of fuchsia  It's not quite the typical 'berry/purple' shade which is why is caught my eye.

Rebel is a satin finish lipstick so it isn't shiny nor matte when applied but the perfect balance between the two. It sticks around for 1-2 hours on me - I find lipsticks never last that well on me and tend to go patchy but this one fades perfectly leaving behind a lovely stain, which is something I really do love. Although, I do find sometimes when it's applied the colour can look 'uneven'. Some parts can look darker than others which is something that makes this lipstick a bit hit and miss for me and leaves me a bit uneasy about wearing it if I don't have much time to spend applying it perfectly. It's definitely not a lipstick you can slap on from the tube and run out the door.

I'm still so glad I have it in my collection, it really is a lovely lipstick when you take your time applying it, building it up using a lip brush in thin layers. When applied like this it looks gorgeous  especially with a gloss of the top. I recommend the Natural Collection Lipgloss in Fondant, I lovely peachy shade which is non sticky and cheap as chips. I would definitely recommend this it if your looking for a winter/autumn lipstick with a bit of a twist, I really do think this lipstick is very unique in colour and isn't something you'll find on the high-street which makes the price tag a little more bare-able  I urge you to go to a MAC store and give it a little swatch because it is a gorgeous colour in person.

As always MAC lipstick are one of my favorites (although only owning two). I think you definitely get your money's worth and they have a huge collection of beautiful shades. I'm currently lusting over Craving (I blame Helen for this!) and Sunny Seoul.

Are you lusting over any lipsticks? What's your favorite lipstick for the colder months?

★ Essie Nail Polish; My Thoughts ★

I was very intrigued by Essie's nail polish after hearing blogger after blogger and youtuber after youtuber saying how amazing they were. Also, the Essie shade range is beyond amazing and all the hype surrounding the nail polish's made them seem so amazing. At around £7.99 per bottle I was a bit hesitant, as I'm sure lots of other people are. When I saw a pack of two of Essie polish's at good ole' Tk Maxx for just £7.99 I couldn't resist. The pack came with one coloured polish and a base coat called "Nail Foundation".

I was actually really pleasantly surprised by the Essie polish I picked up which is in the shade Cocktail Bling and it's a beautiful grey/blue toned purple and I think it looks really good on my nails and with my skin tone.
I believe I have this with the new brush because the brush is pretty wide which makes it so so easy to paint your nails perfectly and I always look for larger brushes when picking nail polishes. The formula of the polish is really nice, the perfect inbetween being thick and thin, it's not gloopy but it's not runny. I found it extremely easy to paint my nails with this polish which is really impressive. I was also impressed with the stay power of this polish, it stays for 4-5 days without chipping which is really helpful for me whilst I'm at school because I never find the time to change my polish regularly. Bear in mind that I've only tried one of the Essie Polishes and I know the formulation with different colours may vary but Cocktail Bling is very nice. The base coat is nice but I wouldn't repurchase in a hurry.

Overall I'm actually really impressed. I wouldn't say to run out and get one as they aren't the only polishes that are good out there but I do think you get what you pay for with these polishes, even if £7.99 is a little steep. I would definitely buy an Essie polish again if I was in love with the colour or if there was a good deal on.

♡ ♡ Nail of the Day; Disco Lilac ♡ ♡

Hello everyone.
I haven't done a nail related post in ageeeees so I thought I'd share newly discovered nail combination that I absolutely adore and can see myself constantly wearing it for the next few weeks.

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour in Lucky Lilac 50
Essence Nail Art Special Effects Topper in Disco Disco 11

I am absolutely in love with this combo at the moment, I've never really been a fan of glitter on my nails but I am in looove with the Essence Topper. The chunky silver glitter looks lovely over the No7 pastel lilac and I assume it'll look nice over any shade. It's a really nice quality polish, dries quickly and has a beautiful iridescence.
I actually won the essence polish in the lovely Eyelyn's give-away recently so sorry UK followers, it's not available here *sigh*. I'm sure there are lots of similar top coats around though.

There will be lots of skin-care and hair-care reviews coming soon so look out for them!

What's your favourite nail combo? What's your go-to brand of nail polish?
